The Energize Denver Building Performance team has released three documents that are open for a 7-day public comment period:

The updates include more detailed rules regarding buildings 5,000-24,999 sq. ft. and an alternate compliance option for Manufacturing, Agricultural, and Industrial (MAI) buildings.

To provide public comment on either the updated rulemaking or the guidance manual, please email your comments to energizedenver@denvergov.org. You can write your comments into the body of the email, noting which section of the rulemaking or page number of the manual you are referencing. Or you can download the PDFs, mark your comments directly in the files, and return your comments by email. Public comment for this round is due May 14, 2023.

Any comments that result in a change will be reflected in the official posting of the notice to update the rules, which allows for another 30-day comment period. We expect to notice this official 30-day public comment period at the end of May.
