City and County of Denver issued the following announcement on Oct. 28.
The Denver Department of Public Health & Environment (DDPHE) adopted the public and private gathering limits in the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) PHO 20-35 (issued on October 23, 2020), which are limited to no more than 10 individuals from no more than 2 households when not otherwise regulated as a specific sector or activity in Section III of PHO 20-35.
This means that any gatherings of people not addressed under a specific sector (e.g. churches, critical businesses, events that meet all the eligibility criteria and adhere to events requirements, etc.) are limited to a maximum of 10 people from 2 households. Furthermore, DDPHE discourages all informal social gatherings until such time that COVID community transmission rates decrease and especially cautions those at higher risk for poor outcomes if infected with COVID (people with certain underlying medical conditions and people of advanced age) to avoid gatherings with people outside of their household.
Nothing in this order prohibits the gathering of people living in the same household.
