Carly Whitehouse awarded Civics Scholarship

Aurora, Colo. – The Foundation for the Restoration of America (FFROA) awarded a $10,000 scholarship to Hillsdale College student Carly Whitehouse.

FFROA, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is committed to educating the next generation of Americans about our nation’s founding principles and how they should continue to serve as the foundation for our future.

Whitehouse will graduate from Hillsdale College this spring with a B.A. in Marketing. 

She received the largest scholarship after completing the Constitutional Study Program.

"The Founder’s presented simple yet universal truths" Whitehouse said, reflecting on the program. "However, today these principles are all but lost not only in the institution of government but also in the very mind of the American people."

The Foundation’s Executive Director Christine Altenberger shared her excitement about the scholarship program.

“For the future of the country,” Altenberger said, “each generation must learn the true history and founding principles of the United States and why they are important and worthy of respect. As Ronald Reagan said, ‘Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it on to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children, our children’s children what it was once like to live in the United States where men were free.’”

“These students are better equipped to be our nation’s next generation of leaders now that they’ve been exposed to the values that founded this country centuries ago.”

To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, students must have completed the “Constitution 101” and “Introduction to the Constitution” FREE online courses through Hillsdale College.
