On Saturday, Nov. 22, the Chadron State Eagles, featuring former Mullen High School standout Wilson Yee, were defeated 21-17 by the Pittsburg State Gorillas in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.
The contest was held at Carnie Smith Stadium at noon and marked the Eagles’ first encounter with the Pittsburg State Gorillas in the tournament.
The Denver Pioneers report that the National Lacrosse League semifinals have ended after three games each. Players Josh Dawick and Mark Matthews will compete against Tyson Wilson and Brandon Bomberry in the upcoming finals.
Paulina Jurkowska will join Denver’s women’s tennis team as a graduate transfer for the upcoming season. She previously competed at Delaware and brings significant experience ahead of Denver’s move to a new conference.
Five University of Denver skiers have been recognized with seven All-American awards following strong performances at this year’s NCAA Championships. The team’s achievements include multiple individual podiums and a third-place overall finish.
