Cost of college went up for all students at the University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus

In-state tuition and fees rose 1.9 percent for 2018-19 at the University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Colorado residents paid $9,283 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $176 more than the $9,107 charged for 2017-18.

Non-residents paid 177.6 percent more than residents this year, or $25,771. Their price tag grew 2 percent from $25,259 in 2017-18.

About 90 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Colorado residents. About 9 percent are residents of other states and 1 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 76 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 879 students received grants or scholarships totaling $6.3 million and 523 students took out student loans totaling more than $3 million.

Including all undergraduates (25,645), 6,079 students used grants or scholarships totaling $39.3 million, and 4,866 students took out $35.3 million in federal student loans.
