87 percent of applicants to Johnson & Wales University-Denver were admitted for fall 2018

At Johnson & Wales University-Denver, 84 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Denver enrolled 1,008 students in fall 2018, including 974 in undergraduate and 34 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

37 percent of undergraduates are residents of Colorado, and 61 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (51 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (22 percent).

The school admitted 87 percent of the 2,894 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 12 percent enrolled.
