On Saturday, Nov. 22, the CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves, featuring former Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Early College standout Russell Patton, were defeated 37-24 by the Texas–Permian Basin Falcons in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.

The contest was held at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl at 1 p.m., marking the first tournament meeting between the ThunderWolves and the Texas–Permian Basin Falcons.
