Russell Patton, a former standout at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Early College and now a player for the CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves, will participate in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.

CSU Pueblo enters the tournament as the number three seed and will face the Texas–Permian Basin Falcons, who are also seeded third.

The opening matchup is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22.
