The University of Denver women’s gymnastics team, ranked No. 23, placed second at No. 25 Oregon State on March 14, concluding its regular season with a score of 195.175 behind the host’s 196.925.

This result marks the end of Denver’s regular season and sets the stage for their upcoming postseason competition. The team achieved some of its highest road scores this year on bars, vault, and floor but was set back by falls on beam, ending notable streaks in program history.

Denver posted a 49.200 on both bars and vault—its second highest bar score and third highest vault mark of the season—while earning a 49.375 on floor, which was its second best road performance in that event this year. The counted falls on beam ended a streak of 19 meets without such errors, tying for the third longest in program history.

Individual highlights included Maddison Reidenbach’s personal-best 9.850 on bars and matching top scores from Shyla Bhatia and Cecilia Cooley in various events. On floor, Cooley anchored with a strong 9.925 while Bhatia and Reidenbach each scored a solid 9.875.

The meet also featured exhibition routines from several athletes as it was the last opportunity to do so this season; all five exhibition routines were completed successfully.

Looking ahead, Denver will begin its postseason at the Big 12 Gymnastics Championship in West Valley City, Utah, scheduled for Saturday, March 21. Session assignments will be determined based on National Qualifying Scores.
