University of Denver sophomore goalie Grayson Manning was named one of 25 nominees for the 2026 Tewaaraton Award, according to an announcement made by the foundation on April 19.
The Tewaaraton Award is given annually to the top college lacrosse player in the United States. Manning’s inclusion as a nominee highlights his strong performance during the current season.
Manning led the country in save percentage at 61% entering this past weekend and ranked eighth nationally in goals against average at 8.84. He also stood ninth in saves per game with an average of 13.09. Manning has recorded double-digit saves in each of his last ten games, including a career-high of 20 saves during Denver’s one-goal win at Utah on February 14 and another standout performance with 17 saves against Villanova on April 4.
Originally from Victoria, British Columbia, Manning has limited opponents to double digits in goals only three times throughout the season so far. He was also recognized as the winning goalie at the Under-20 World Games in 2025.
Denver will conclude its regular season on Friday night when it hosts Marquette at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium, with opening faceoff scheduled for 6 p.m. Mountain Time. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and radio station 104.3 The Fan HD3.
