On Saturday, Nov. 22, Marcellus Honeycutt Jr., a former standout at George Washington High School, saw his current college team, the CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves, fall 24-37 to the Texas–Permian Basin Falcons in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.

The contest was held at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl at 1 p.m. and marked the first tournament meeting between the ThunderWolves and the Texas–Permian Basin Falcons.
