Denver Police Encourage Other Possible Victims to Come Forward

Denver – Thursday, June 8, 2023 – On Friday, June 2, 2023, Denver Police investigators arrested 40-year-old Charles Reginald “Reggie” Gwinn two counts of Sexual Assault on a Child by one in a Position of Trust (F3). Both counts are related to alleged sexual assaults involving the same victim occurring between March and July of 2018.

The investigation began in March 2023 when the juvenile female victim and her father filed a report with DPD. It was reported that Gwinn fondled the victim several times during that five-month period and that Gwinn also forced the victim to touch his genitals over his clothing. The alleged incidents occurred while Gwinn was a theater teacher at St. Elizabeth’s School in Denver where the victim was a student.

Based on the totality of the circumstances, DPD is raising awareness in an effort to determine whether there are any additional victims at this or any other location. Anyone who believes that they may have been a victim of Gwinn or has information that could be helpful to investigators, is encouraged to call the Denver Police Missing and Exploited Persons Unit at 720-913-6653. DPD’s Missing and Exploited Persons Unit investigates cases involving sexual assault by a person in a position of trust.
