On Saturday, Nov. 22, the Chapman Panthers, featuring former Northfield High School standout Ryan Manning, defeated the Whitworth Pirates 18-16 in the NCAA Division III Football Championship.
The contest was held at Whitworth Pine Bowl at noon and marked the first tournament encounter between the Chapman Panthers and the Whitworth Pirates.
Chapman’s next game is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 29, at 10 a.m. at Smith Stadium.

Louise Wikander collected three major regional honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association after leading Denver women’s tennis during a standout senior year. Her achievements include Senior Player of the Year recognition along with top marks for improvement and sportsmanship.
Tyler Krivtsov will transfer to University of Denver hockey for the upcoming season after two years with Alaska Anchorage. The goaltender has earned accolades including Defensive Player of the Year honors during his collegiate career.
