Former Denver lacrosse players compete in NLL Week 19 games across North America

Former University of Denver men’s lacrosse players participated in National Lacrosse League action across North America during Week 19, according to an April 6 update from the program.

The report highlights the involvement of several former Pioneers in key matchups, with particular attention on a close contest between Oshawa and Calgary. Alex Simmons scored three goals and added four assists for Oshawa, while Ethan Walker contributed two goals and two assists, including setting up the game-winning goal. On Calgary’s side, Tyler Pace was involved in eight out of nine team goals with two goals and six assists.

Other former Denver athletes also made notable contributions throughout the weekend. In Friday’s game, Colorado defeated Las Vegas with Jack Hannah recording three assists and three loose balls. Saturday saw Halifax win over Rochester as Tehoka Bomberry tallied one goal and two assists. In another matchup, San Diego faced Toronto; Trevor Baptiste won twelve faceoffs for San Diego while Wes Berg added two goals. For Toronto, Cam Dawick scored once and assisted on another goal.

Looking ahead to this week’s schedule—all available on ESPN+—Denver alumni are set to appear again as teams such as Toronto, Halifax, Calgary, Oshawa, Colorado, San Diego, Georgia continue their seasons. The University of Denver men’s lacrosse team will also return to action this weekend against Villanova at noon Eastern Time.
