Five members of the University of Denver women’s tennis team have secured spots in the final 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national singles and doubles rankings, according to an announcement from the ITA on Tuesday.

Senior Louise Wikander is ranked No. 79 in singles. In doubles, senior Zoe Adkins and freshman Ruby Hansen are ranked No. 79, while redshirt freshmen Natali Jaiani and Remy Nguyen are tied at No. 82.

Wikander’s fall season included a victory at the ITA Mountain Regional singles title, making her the eighth player from Denver to qualify for the NCAA Division I Singles Tennis Championship field. She posted a 9-4 record in singles play during the fall, including a win over Utah’s Emma Kamper, who was ranked No. 37 nationally, in the regional final. Two of Wikander’s four losses came against other nationally-ranked opponents.

Adkins and Hansen began their partnership at the Bedford Cup in the Rockies hosted by Air Force and finished that tournament with a perfect 4-0 record. Over the course of the fall season, Adkins compiled a 9-3 doubles record while partnering with five different teammates; Hansen ended with a 9-4 mark alongside three different partners.

Jaiani and Nguyen completed their fall campaign undefeated as a pair, going 5-0 across two tournaments: the Bedford Cup and Colorado Cup. Nguyen recorded Denver’s best doubles performance for the fall with a 10-3 overall record while playing with three partners; Jaiani went 5-4 across matches with three different teammates.

This marks Wikander’s first appearance in an ITA national singles ranking after previously holding a preseason doubles ranking earlier this year. For Adkins, Hansen, Jaiani, and Nguyen, these are their first ITA national rankings.

The ITA Preseason Rankings recognize top performers nationwide by listing the top 125 singles players and top 90 doubles teams based on results from this fall season.

The University of Denver women’s tennis team will return to competition in January for its spring dual season. The full schedule is expected to be released soon.
