On Saturday, Nov. 22, Dre’Monti Jackson, a former standout at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Early College, saw his current team, the CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves, fall 24-37 to the Texas–Permian Basin Falcons in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.

The contest was held at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl at 1 p.m., marking the first tournament meeting between the ThunderWolves and the Texas–Permian Basin Falcons.
