The University of Denver women’s tennis team has signed Frankie Tye for the 2026-27 academic year, head coach Paul Wardlaw announced on Apr. 15.

Tye, who is from London, England, brings international experience and recent success to the program. Her addition comes as Denver prepares to compete in its inaugural season as a member of the West Coast Conference.

Francesca “Frankie” Tye has achieved a career-high International Tennis Federation junior ranking of No. 1124. In the current season, she reached the finals at two British tour events and has previously advanced to finals at tournaments such as an ITF J60 Loughborough event in 2025 and a J30 Dublin tournament. In doubles competition, she won titles at last year’s J30 Newport (Great Britain) and at the 2024 J30 Megrine (Tunisia). Since 2023, Tye has represented England three times at the Junior 4 Nations.

Tye will join a Denver program that has won eleven consecutive Summit League titles and is aiming for its twelfth title at next week’s Summit League Championship, pending official selection for the field. She will be joining Caroline Daugherty of Colorado in Denver’s incoming freshman class.

The team continues to prepare for upcoming competitions while welcoming new talent ahead of its transition into a new conference.
