The University of Denver women’s tennis team announced on May 7 that Paulina Jurkowska will join the program as a transfer for the 2026-27 season. Head coach Paul Wardlaw said Jurkowska, who played at the University of Delaware, will enroll as a graduate student and has one year of eligibility remaining.

Jurkowska, originally from Redditch, England, spent three seasons competing for Delaware after redshirting her first year. During her time with the Blue Hens, she recorded 41 singles wins and 50 doubles victories. In the most recent season, she played primarily at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles, achieving a total of 26 doubles wins including a dual match record of 17-5.

She received All-Conference USA honors in each of her last two seasons at Delaware and was named to the second team in the most recent campaign. In fall competition last year, Jurkowska represented Conference USA in singles at the ITA Conference Masters Championships and reached the doubles semifinals at the ITA North East Regionals.

Jurkowska joins Denver as it prepares to transition into membership with the West Coast Conference beginning July 1, 2026. The move follows a period during which Denver’s women’s tennis program won twelve consecutive Summit League titles since joining that league in the 2013-14 season and compiled an undefeated record of 71-0 in league play during its tenure.

She is now set to become Denver’s third new roster addition for next season alongside fellow incoming athletes Frankie Tye from England and Colorado native Caroline Daugherty.
