The University of Denver men’s tennis team has announced its 2026 spring dual schedule, as revealed by head coach Drew Eberly. The Pioneers will play 21 dual matches beginning in the third week of January, with nine scheduled to take place at Denver Tennis Park.
The team’s home opener is set for January 23 against Texas Tech, followed by matches with Montana State, Utah, and Montana through early February. The schedule includes both home and away contests, featuring matchups against several teams that ended the previous season ranked in the final ITA national rankings: Boise State (No. 42), Penn (No. 50), Utah (No. 52), New Mexico (No. 62), and BYU (No. 72). Denver finished last season ranked No. 59.
After the initial home stretch, Denver will travel to face Boise State and Northwestern and play neutral-site matches against Wichita State and DePaul. The team will host BYU on February 27 before spending March on the road with games at Air Force, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, Pennsylvania, Cal Poly, and Gonzaga.
Summit League competition begins in April when Denver hosts Illinois State, Oral Roberts, and North Dakota before closing out non-conference play at home against Nevada. The regular season concludes with away matches at Drake and Omaha.
This marks Denver’s final season as a member of the Summit League before transitioning to the West Coast Conference effective July 1, 2026. The team will aim for a spot in the Summit League Men’s Tennis Championship scheduled for April 24-25 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Denver has won this tournament seven times, including each of the last two seasons.
Denver wrapped up its fall season at Loyola Marymount University’s annual tournament from November 7-9 as it prepares for conference realignment next year.
