Denver lacrosse alumni make impact during NLL week three

Nine former University of Denver men’s lacrosse players participated in the third week of the 2025-26 National Lacrosse League (NLL) season.

Noah Manning, a recent graduate from Denver, scored his first professional hat trick during Calgary’s narrow loss to Toronto. Tyler Pace, also with Calgary, contributed six assists in the same game. Josh Dawick led Toronto with six points, five of which came in the fourth quarter. Dawick provided the primary assist on the winning goal with just over two minutes left in regulation. Mark Matthews added one goal and three assists for Toronto, including an assist on Dawick’s key fourth-quarter goal that helped secure a 4-0 run for Toronto.

Alex Simmons, who was named NLL Rookie of the Year in 2024, reached his 200th career point this week. He recorded three goals and one assist for Oshawa against Georgia.

Other former Denver players made contributions across several teams: Brendan Bomberry collected three loose balls for Halifax; Richie Connell scored once for Georgia; Ethan Walker picked up seven loose balls for Oshawa; Wes Berg had two points and six loose balls for San Diego; Trevor Baptiste won 24 out of 26 faceoffs and had 14 loose balls; Danny Logan registered one loose ball and two caused turnovers.

The upcoming NLL Week 4 games will be available on ESPN+. Vancouver faces Oshawa on Friday, December 19 at 5:30 p.m. MT, while Georgia plays Saskatchewan on Saturday, December 20 at 6 p.m. MT.
