Medicare was the third largest contributor in Denver County in 2022, accounting for $1.27 billion, averaging $1,774 per capita, representing 19% of transfers. Income Maintenance transfers provided another $1.13 billion, averaging $1,579 per capita and comprising 16.9% of government support, making them the smallest contributors.

When comparing 2022 to the previous year, Denver County saw no change in its Medicaid transfer dependency.
