The Denver Pioneers announced on May 11 that the semifinal round of the 2026 National Lacrosse League Playoffs concluded last weekend, with both series extending to a decisive third game.
The results set up a finals matchup between teams featuring Josh Dawick and Mark Matthews against Tyson Wilson and Brandon Bomberry. The league saw strong performances during the semifinals, including Richie Connell leading Georgia to a commanding 21-10 victory over Halifax with two goals and an assist. In another semifinal, Toronto overcame San Diego 14-8 as Matthews contributed one goal and two assists, while Dawick added an assist. Trevor Baptiste won 15 out of 27 faceoffs for San Diego, collecting six loose balls and scoring once.
Detailed statistics from last week’s games show that Connell also recorded three points in Georgia’s win over Halifax on May 9. For Halifax, Bomberry scored once with seven loose balls recovered, while Wilson had a goal and an assist. In Toronto’s win over San Diego that same day, Berg posted one goal and one assist for San Diego.
On May 10, Halifax responded by defeating Georgia 15-11. Bomberry led Halifax with two goals; Wilson contributed another goal plus an assist.
The schedule for the NLL Playoff Finals begins Friday, May 15 when Halifax hosts Toronto at 5:30 p.m., followed by Game Two in Toronto on Sunday afternoon. If necessary, Game Three will be played back in Halifax on Saturday evening.
