Richie Connell, a recent graduate of the University of Denver men’s lacrosse program, returned to Colorado and scored two goals to help Georgia secure a 12-3 victory over the Colorado Mammoth at Ball Arena on Saturday night.
Another former Denver player, Tyler Pace, contributed significantly for Calgary by recording five points with two goals and three assists. The National Lacrosse League (NLL) action also saw Jack Hannah traded to the Colorado Mammoth on Sunday; he has yet to make his season debut.
Other games in NLL Week 5 included Saskatchewan defeating Halifax 10-9, with Brendan Bomberry earning one assist. Las Vegas won against Toronto 17-11, with contributions from Josh Dawick (one goal, one assist), Mark Matthews (one goal, two assists), and TD Ierlan. In another matchup, Buffalo beat Calgary 13-7. Noah Manning provided an assist for Calgary while Tyler Pace led his team in scoring.
Looking ahead to Week 6 of the NLL schedule—all games available on ESPN+—Halifax faces Saskatchewan on Friday. Saturday’s matchups feature Ottawa versus Oshawa, Rochester against Colorado (where Jack Hannah is expected to play), and Calgary taking on San Diego.
